The answer to the above questions is simple: The Black bride has been ignored. Perhaps it is because folks are still singing the same lame song about Black women not getting married since their pickings are so slim (someone press fast forward or better yet erase). Or maybe it is because the bridal industry — similar to the fashion industry — hasn’t taken the time to truly consider the wants and needs of Black women preparing for their walk down the aisle. Whatever the reasons, the playing field needs to be leveled.
